Perhaps it’s fate. Maybe it’s just luck. Whatever the reason, I feel pretty fortunate to be living where I’m living and doing what I’m doing. There aren’t many places as nice as Santa Cruz . And there aren’t many jobs as rewarding as real estate. The icing on the cake is that, while I live out my dream, I get to help my clients live out theirs.
The indescribable allure of Santa Cruz
I hesitate to use the word paradise. But if pressed to describe Santa Cruz in one word, that would be it. What a terrific place this is to call home. The weather is mild. You can enjoy the outdoors all year long. San Francisco is only 90 minutes away. We have the wine country and rugged coast to the north. Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur to the south. The Sierra Nevada is just a 3 1/2-hour drive to our east. And to our west is the mighty Pacific Ocean. We’re literally surrounded by beauty and opportunity.

I’ve been a Santa Cruz County resident for over 39 years now. I’ve lived in downtown Santa Cruz, on Beach Hill, over on the Westside, in the banana belt (on San Juan Ave) and down near the yacht harbor. I’ve also called Capitola, Aptos, Ben Lomond and the Elkhorn Slough home at various times in my life. So I’m intimately familiar with every neighborhood, beach, school district and shopping spot from Boulder Creek to North Monterey County.
In my 20 years as a real estate professional, I’ve earned numerous professional designations. I’ve won some of the most prestigious honors. But, I prefer to talk about my success stories, the people who walk into my office as strangers and walk out as satisfied clients and new friends. I am a licenced real estate broker, a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI), an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and a certified Internet professional (E-PRO). All this means is that I am constantly striving to be at the top of my field, to have the widest possible understanding of market trends and consumer needs. My expertise combines knowledge of new technology with the experience of forty years as a Santa Cruz resident. I hope that I can use this blog to share some of my expertise.
